COURSE
OBJECTIVES
- State outcome of 2010 perinatal related legislative bills and understand public policy agendas for 2011.
- Understand the increasing prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency in premature population and identify the signs of Vitamin D deficiency in premature infants.
- Identify key interventions for treating critically ill pregnant patients.
- Outline and describe BEAU-CHOPS in ACLS.
- Correlate pregnancy complications and rising mortality rate.
- Identify the leading causes of pregnancy related deaths.
- Identify rates of STI's in Sacramento County and surrounding areas, correlate the risks of individual STI's with complications in pregnancy.
- Discuss the physiological differences in pregnancy that change the sepsis screening process.
- Identify the signs and symptoms of sepsis in the perinatal patient.
- Verbalize one intervention to assess mental status.
- State the significance of monitoring glucose in infants with HIE.

sent. If you do not receive confirmation in approximately

letter will act as an acknowledgment of your enrollment in

INFORMATION
Registration deadline is one week prior to course date, or
when the class limit is reached. Registration is by mail
only and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served
basis. Hospital facilitators may fax registration materials.
No spaces will be reserved by phone.
No onsite registration will be accepted.

C.E. INFORMATION
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing,
CEP# 07960, for 7 contact hours per day.
REFUNDS
The registration fee will be refunded provided notice of cancellation
is given in writing 14 days prior to course date. The registration
fee will be refunded in full if, for any reason, Continuing
Education Consortium cancels the program.
