COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This exciting program is designed for nurses and technologists interested in a career in the Cardiac Cath Lab, or staff newly employed in the Cath Lab.
In addition, the program will benefit
1) Diagnostic Cath Lab staff who are transitioning to Interventional Cath Lab setting.
2) Telemetry and Critical Care Nurses who care for the patient undergoing coronary and peripheral intervention.
Topics include:
- Cardiovascular anatomy and physiology (utilizing beef heart dissection), hemodynamics, cardiovascular disease processes
- Pharmacology, Coronary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures: indications, techniques and complications
- Hemostasis and vascular closure devices
- Coronary and Endovascular interventional procedures: indications, techniques and complications
- Emerging Technologies
- Complications and emergencies, Case studies

COURSE COMPLETEION CRITERIA
Attend the entire day in order to obtain CE units.

Upon receipt of the registration form, a confirmation letter stating course date, time and location will be sent. Registration is by mail only and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Hospital facilitators may fax registration materials.

One week prior to course date, or when the registration enrollment limit is reached.

8 CE hours each day; 4 CE hours Friday

REFUNDS
The registration fee will be refunded provided notice of cancellation is given in writing 14 days prior to course date. The registration fee will be refunded in full if, for any reason, Continuing Education Consortium cancels the program.
