Basic Hemodynamics
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is intended for nurses who are either unfamiliar or need a review of the fundamental concepts of Basic Hemodynamics. Vasoactive drugs will be covered. Topics include assessment and intervention using hemodynamic parameters measured from pulmonary artery (swan), triple lumen, and arterial monitoring systems. Included will be monitoring system setup and maintenance; waveform analysis; pressure, SVR, CO value interpretation; SVO2 and continuous cardiac output monitoring.

(Course runs in conjunction with Essentials of Critical Care Course. Fees are for students not currently enrolled in ECCO)
